Royce Zook was born in LaJunta, Colorado, in 1967, although he spent the majority of his life growing up in Michigan. He is a high school English teacher in White Cloud, Michigan, where he lives with his wife, daughter and foster children. He has always enjoyed the power of expression that can be shared through poetry. Teaching students to express themselves in various formats especially through poetry has been one of his greatest achievements. This volume of poetry was written during a very tumultuous period in his life. The poems in this book were written between the years of 2000 and 2006 and convey the feelings associated with a tragic divorce. It is a story of grief, heartache, anger and eventually hope and forgiveness. If you are facing a divorce, or have gone through a divorce, hopefully some of the poetry in this book will impact you in a positive manner.
